Raised in Baltimore and entering the work force at 12 years old, Mr. Catlett quickly learned the importance of hard work. In 1988, after working for NCR Corporation as a district sales manager for 10 years, Mr. Catlett decided to start his own company, supplying business forms and supplies out of his garage with his wife as his partner.
Specializing in continuous forms, snap-a-parts, stationery and labels, Progressive Business Forms and Supplies, grew out of the garage to become one of the industry’s leading minority owned businesses in the Southeast, Progressive Business Solutions. Winning recognition for quality and a reputation as a go to company, Progressive has expanded its market to accommodate the fast moving changes continuously evolving in the printing industry.
In 2001, Progressive decided to “grow”, by building its own facilities for warehousing, fulfillment and printing. Again in 2004, additional warehouse space was added to accommodate the expanding needs of its customers. Progressive’s flexibility and willingness to diversify services, allowed the company to add major lines of janitorial and cleaning supplies, add a digital printing center, and develop a technology package to implement a fully automated fulfillment package for one of the largest employee recognition companies.
